A birthday often happens at home, with less space than a reception hall. Allow two metres in front of the booth and avoid placing it against a window during the day: backlight darkens faces. A plain wall works fine as a backdrop.
Packages run from 50 to 400 prints. For twenty to thirty people over an evening, a hundred prints leaves room to spare, including the runs of four bad photos before the good one.
Open the booth as soon as guests arrive: the first photos happen during drinks, often taken by the children. The peak comes after the cake, when everyone gets up from the table. A word on the microphone at that moment starts the queue, and the booth then runs on its own until the end of the evening.
